Art Programs & Classes
“At the heart of our program are the exquisite facilities, the exceptional teachers, and the small classes that allow individual attention.” — Catherine Kernan, Director
“You can hang with your friends and the art is not all the same. You can be creative.” — Josie, age 9
All our teaching artists are keenly aware of the developmental needs of students, from the youngest to the oldest. The program is designed with a mix of mediums, appropriate for all ages from pre-school through high school, and for adults from “serious novices” to practicing artists. The depth and sophistication of projects increase with the age and individual needs of each student.
Adult and High school classes are taught in the tradition of tutorial Master Classes with very personal attention from the faculty, and tuitions include some independent use of the studios outside of class time. If you come with experience, the instructors respond to your technical and aesthetic needs at your level. If you are new to making art, they make it fun and accessible with projects that yield fascinating and satisfying results with a path to the next step
As a non-profit organization in Cambridge we reflect the diversity of our community and a variety of visual arts in our mission to bring people together to make art, share art, and support visual arts education.
